Department: Planning, Zoning and Building/Building Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday Other: Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Advanced, technical work in the examination of various construction plans for compliance with Palm Beach County's construction codes with a minimum of three trade disciplines, related regulations and Building Division policies. Performs the final examination of permit applications and construction plans reviewed by a Construction Plans Examiner I and advises accordingly. QUALIFICATIONS : Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of five (5) years of construction work experience as an Architect, Engineer, Contractor, Inspector, Electrician, Plumber, HVAC Technician or Carpenter in the appropriate trade. Necessary Special Requirements : Must possess Standard Plans Examiner licensure in three (3) categories (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Structural) OR Standard Plans Examiner licensure in One (1) and Two (2) Family Dwellings per Florida Statute 468 at time of application (COPIES of certifications must be received in PBC HR by 5:00 P.M. on the closing date).
