Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the funding of new accounts assigned.
  • Review supporting documentation from clients for validity of advance request and approve/decline advance and/or reserve releases.
  • Manage credit facilities within approved limits.
  • Implement pricing and fee enhancements.
  • Ensure that appropriate UCC filings are maintained for pledged collateral.
  • Respond to client requests in a timely manner, whether in person, phone or email.
  • Review all credit and legal information periodically to ensure that all related client information/documentation is maintained per company policies and procedures.
  • Perform an in-depth analysis on client’s monthly financial statements/collateral and prepare write-ups on financial performance as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Audit Manager/Team all field examination work for assigned portfolio to ensure all clients are being reviewed timely and exceptions are being addressed and resolved accordingly.
  • Request client information as needed.
  • Visit client sites to tour facilities, discuss overall business, address specific credit issues and cross sell additional First Capital products and services.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and functions to promote all product and service offerings.
  • Coordinate payoffs of assigned accounts.
  • Complete monthly loan ratings and trend cards on assigned accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Complexity of Work:  Semi-routine, general policies applied.  Decision making required daily.

Education:   Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university required, preferably in Business or Accounting/Finance.

Experience:  4-8 years:  Four plus years experience as an Account Executive in a commercial financial services firm/investment banking organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of commercial financial services, products and procedures
  • Considerable knowledge of financial analysis and accounting principles
  • Considerable knowledge of research analysis on clients
  • Skill in effective oral and written communications
  • Skill in conflict resolution
  • Ability to utilize software packages including accounting software, MS Office and other financial software packages
  • Ability to manage multiple clients concurrently
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Ability to objectively evaluate information gathered
  • Ability to compile and prepare reports
  • Ability to supply or gather information concisely without loss of detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and outside contacts
