Position Purpose:

At Floor and Decor our Assistant Store Managers are vital to the success and continued growth of our company. As an Assistant Store Manager in Training with Floor and Decor you will complete up to a 4 month training program that will take you through the "P's" of retail. The primary function of the Assistant Store Manager is to oversee store programs through effective delegation and management of work, employees, time, and resources, including securing appropriate staff coverage and assisting in the recruitment/selection/onboarding of new associates. This position is also responsible for ensuring a high level of customer service though established company guidelines as well as ensuring workplace safety practices are being followed to maximize sales and profitability.

Successful candidates will possess the following:

  • High School graduate or equivalent (College degree preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience in retails sales Management
  • Flexibility to work retail schedule
  • Ability to perform in a high volume, highly complex location
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills and work well under pressure
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in recruiting, hiring, training and coaching
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish speaking a plus but not required
